Jan Richardson – Jeweller
Jan has been making jewellery and teaching jewellery making techniques for over 35 years. She works mainly in silver and loves inspiring people to take up the craft she loves. She still feels she has loads to learn and that’s what makes the subject so interesting, as well as the beautiful results you get from making things with silver and stones.
Among her many ranges she is at present concentrating on texturing with reticulation and adding druzy’s and making stacking rings.
Jan trained at Sheffield then started her business in London taking part in many prestigious show such as Goldsmith’s Fair and exhibiting in some prestigious galleries such as Electrum. She then moved to Wokingham and when her girls were old enough she gained the residency at South Hill Park and built up the timetable of classes that thrive there now. Jan now teaches in Maidenhead and Woodley and shows at local arts trails and galleries, including Henley Studios, Henley River and Rowing Museum, and the local pop up shop The Art House.
